![]() ![]() ![]() I've been troubleshooting this nightmare for quite some time with no luck! Instead I saw alternating black then white loop over the whole screen, but I haven't been able to move past that. I saw that the second partition on the SSD wasn't assigned the mandatory drive letter "B", so I used DiskPart to presumably correct that. I ran MBAM and Kaspersky anti-malware, neither of which found any genuine malware on either volume.īut the damn thing still won't boot! First, I was allowed to log in, but about the time Explorer would be launched there was the flashing white screen problem, which by all logic shouldn't possibly happen, because the source of the clone worked and still works fine. I also ran CHKDSK until no errors or warnings appeared. I knew I had to ensure that the new system partition's BCD was setup correctly. I knew I had to remove as many peripherals, external drives, and the like - particularly the source disk - so I did that. I knew I had to ensure that the new system partition was marked "active", so I did that. I knew to avoid having two or more disks/partitions with the same serial number, so I changed them. I cloned the hard disk that contained my perfectly working Windows 10 Pro and another needed partition on that same HDD to a Samsung SSD. ![]()
